Yoke Calibration.
To get accurate result of Magnetic Particle Examination, we must make sure all tool not expired calibration.
1. The AC Yoke shall be determined by its ability to lift a 10 pounds (4.5 kgs) plate of ferromagnetic material using Pole Leg Spacing 2 inches (50 mm) to 4 inches (100 mm).

2. When the Yoke fails the magnetizing strength test, the examination results from the last acceptable magnetizing strength test shall be re-examined using the calibrated Yoke.

3. Verification of the magnetizing strength test shall be recorded in the MAGNETIZATION STRENGTH VEIFICATION LOG FORM.
Yoke Calibration

After check calibration, nest step is to check Illumination.
1. The light source, technique used and light level verification is required to be demonstrated one time, documented, and maintained on file.
2. Examination shall be performed under visible light. The intensity of the visible light at the surface of the part/work piece undergoing shall be a minimum of 100 fc (1000 Lux).
